Missed areas of grass cutting at Mildmay Road
Reported in the Missed Grass Cutting category anonymously at 13:05, Sun 17 May 2020
Sent to Stevenage Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2118543.
There are many areas around Milmday Road that are the Council's responsibility and have been missed. Please could someone come and check all the areas, it looks unkempt and untidy.
In addition grass cuttings have not been collected and have been left on the green.

We are working with a reduced grass cutting operation at the moment, due to the Cov-19 outbreak.. Please bear with us whilst we are trying to provide the best service we can with the resources available in light of the current restrictions. We apologise for any inconvenience this reduced level of service is causing and will endeavour to rectify any issues when service returns to normal

The problem has not been rectified. It will probably never be rectified because it will become so overgrown that it will no longer be suitable for grass cutting.
Trees and thicker shrubs have already started to grow. In addition, members of the public are treating the overgrown areas as a bin; discarding their face masks and gloves right alongside the pavement where children walk to school. This poses an infection control risk.
With respect to people working during lockdown, it was disappointing to observe grass cutting employees spend lots of time on the phone rather than cutting the grass. It's a real shame when your resources are already apparently limited.
I look forward to the council fixing the problem.
