Car has been on road since before the school holidays and hasn't moved.

Reported in the Abandoned Vehicles category anonymously at 13:59, Saturday 21 September 2019

Sent to Stevenage Borough Council 1 minute later

This car has been parked opposite our house since before the school holidays. It is taking up two parking spaces which are needed in our road as it's tight for parking. The drivers door is slightly open and the brakes look rusted on. We're not sure who owns it and no one seems to use it.

    Still open, via questionnaire

  • This Audi A4 convertible VE02DUU now has no MOT and therefore no insurance and is still parked in the road. A lot of us who live here are fed up with nothing being done about it.

  • Vehicle MOT was due on 19th October. It is now 03rd Nov. Car owner is from the other side of the street which clearly has a problem with work vans taking up spaces. Not a new problem but leads to many residents getting annoyed that cars like the one now illegally on the road are dumped for periods at time. Annoying residents who are without a space outside their homes because small businesses want multiple vehicles on the road.

  • White Audi A4 has no MOT and has not been moved for a long while. The owner has multiple vehicles of which cannot be parked outside of their property, taking up valuable spaces of nearby properties.

Clearly this vehicle has been put there with no intention of doing anything with it and should be towed away.

  • Frustrating but the car is presently taxed. you can report the car for no MOT to the Police but only if the vehicle is being used - if it is just parked then no action can be taken.

  • The vehicle is a parked vehicle and still requires an MOT to be on a public road.

  • If your car has no MOT, it should not be parked on the public highway and you should look to book it in for its MOT immediately. Whilst it's parked on the public highway without an MOT it could be reported, resulting in you being fined and your car seized
