Cable and cable outers pulled from Wellfield Wood
Reported in the Miscellaneous category anonymously at 17:28, Thu 18 July 2019
Sent to Stevenage Borough Council 2 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1701201.
The copper-thieves have been dragging cable - presumably from the industrial estate depot - into Wellfield Wood in order to strip the plastic outer and then weigh it in for cash There is a large 18/20 meter piece of heavy duty 3 core cable which appears NOT to be copper, hence it's still in the woods, plus lengths of plastic outer from other cables they have stripped. It's left opposite the entrance gate to Wellfield Wood at the east end of Lincoln Road

As of Sunday 21st July, the length of metal cored cable and the cycle are now gone, presumably taken by the scrap metal man. Some bags of litter were taken since this was reported but not the black cable shells. There are also now 2 further bags of litter that need removing.
