Gutters and middle of road need sweeping
Reported in the Street Cleansing category anonymously at 11:40, Thu 20 June 2019
Sent to Stevenage Borough Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 1668175.
Great Ashby Way hasn't been swept in quite some time. The build-up of soil in the gutters as well as grit and sand in the middle of the road, especially close to safety islands, is quite extreme - a safety hazard for motorists. There could easily be a half tonne of grit along the road within the SBC boundary. can we organise this to be done sometime?Would benefit from individuals with brooms as well as a mechanical road sweeper.

There was a half-hearted attempt to remove some of the build-up but I updated a new report as the main areas of concern had not been touched.

Nothing changed, the build-up of grit is increasing and spreading as the rain washes it around. have no hopes of having it cleared until the next budget re-surface of the road.

Still no change, they will re-surface the road before it gets swept properly.
